Build Sheet

Privacy and What This Site Collects

Build Sheet is a set of static pages. There are no accounts, no forms and no tracking scripts, so the honest version of this notice is short.

The Build Sheet Desk Updated 13 August 2026

This site publishes reading material. It does not ask for personal information, does not run advertising, and does not operate a login, a newsletter or a comment system. The sections below describe the small amount of data that exists anyway because a web server is involved.

What the site itself collects

Nothing beyond what is required to serve a page. Pages are static and are rendered on the server before they reach you, so there is no account, no session and no profile associated with a visit. No analytics script is loaded and no advertising or tracking pixel is embedded in any page.

No cookie is set by this site. If your browser shows storage for this domain, it belongs to a browser feature rather than to anything this publication placed there.

Server logs

The hosting provider keeps standard web server logs, which typically record the address that made the request, the time, the page requested, the referring page where the browser supplies one, and the browser identification string. This is ordinary infrastructure logging and it exists for security and diagnostics, not for audience measurement.

Those logs are retained for a limited period by the host and are not combined with anything else, exported, sold or used to build a profile.

Third-party resources

Pages load a stylesheet framework, an icon font and web fonts from public content delivery networks, and those providers see the request your browser makes for the file, including your address and the referring page. That is a normal consequence of loading a hosted asset and it is disclosed here so you know it happens.

Anything else you see on a page is served from this domain. No embedded video, no social widget, no chat tool and no remote script beyond the resources described above.

Email

If you write to the desk, the message and the address it came from exist in a mailbox until the exchange is finished and are kept only for as long as a correction trail is useful. Correspondence is not added to any mailing list, because there is no mailing list, and it is not shared with anybody outside the desk.

Never send credentials of any kind. No question about a cost model requires a private key, a seed phrase or an API secret, and this desk will never ask for one.

Outbound links

Pages here link to documentation, public code repositories and, where a paragraph is about the rented side of a comparison, to a commercial console. Following any of those takes you to a site with its own privacy practices, which this publication neither controls nor monitors. Read theirs before entering anything.

Changes to this notice

If the site ever adds something that collects data, this page changes first and says what and why. Until then the description above is complete, and the shortest accurate summary is that a visit here leaves an entry in a server log and nothing else.
